The Grinch 2018 Review

Eve Christensen

The Grinch is a movie many of us remember from our childhoods. The story is of a green hairy man who lives in a cave and gets so tired of Christmas that one year he tries to steal everything from a place called Whoville due to issues he had in his past. While the 2018 Grinch is a family friendly show, it has a little bit of something for everyone. The 2018 version of this movie is much better than the 2005 one; this one is more appealing to little kids due to its being more colorful, animated and adding a new character and much more humor. The most heartwarming part is that little Cindy Lou is trying so hard to give her mom the best present that she can, and that is to help her out and give her mom a break from her crazy busy life as a mom and a night shift nurse.

Or maybe my favorite part is when the ox is reunited with his wife and child after living with the grinch for little while. As the movie goes along and the grinch thinks of his plan to steal Christmas, there’s a little goat who follows him and screams; it takes you by surprise and makes you laugh when he’s trying to find his ox to pull his sled, it’s probably one of the best parts besides were we see the grinch stress eating in bed.

Another of my favorite parts is when the little kids meet up at the treehouse and eat waffles and syrup as it gets all cold and hard.

I also love when we go back and forth seeing him trying to get ready for the role of Santa and how he sews his custom with the help of his good dog max and working out to get into shape and working on his plans. These plans include stealing a sleigh from Christmas decorations from a who’s house, and making and reading about how to be Santa. This movie was a great and funny film; I really enjoyed how they were able to take a classic and make it even better than before. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good laugh or just wants to have a family movie night.
