Rear Window

By Eve Christensen

The movie Rear Window is a classic piece of Alfred Hitchcock work it has astonishing tension, suspense and just over all amazing shots from during the filming of the movie. The movie is a breathtaking horror film that can the whole family can watch. Because the movie was made in 1954, it’s not a bloody and gory movie and is in color which makes it that much better.

Overall, the movie has you sitting on the edge of your seat wondering if a man murdered his wife or not it also makes you think about your morals and questions what you’d do if you were in the same situation, looking at the same thing as L.B Jefferies played by James Stewart. One of the best moments in the movie is when the neighbor Jefferies is looking into the window of Lars Thorwald. Jefferies sees him leaving three times in one night; then the next day, when Jefferies is awake for awhile, he sees Lars packing up some large knives and saws. This part makes you really start to think about what really could have happened and why Lars was trying to get rid of these objects, ]The part that really makes you get some anxiety and start to sit on the edge of your seat is when Jefferies and the two women he knows Lisa Formont (his want-to be wife ) and Stella (his nurse)--start to snoop around and dig up the garden and Lisa starts to go through Lars’ house to find some clues to why Lars wife is no longer in the home with him this is also when Lars learns Jefferies is watching him and you worry that he may go after him. This movie is such an amazing way to just have a good horror movie night with your family or friends I strongly believe that any one who loves a good scare should watch this great movie.
