Whether you’re relaxing at home watching a movie, or craving something warm and sweet after coming in from the cold, this mug cake has got you covered. Chocolate filled with chocolate chips, this treat is easy to make and even easier to eat.
You’ll need:
3 tbsp flour
3 tbsp (partially microwaved) butter
1 ½ tbsp sugar
2 tbsp milk
½ tsp baking powder
1 egg
½ tsp vanilla
Pinch salt
2 tbsp cocoa powder
Good handful chocolate chips
Put all the ingredients into the mug, saving the chocolate chips for last. Stir it all up.
Generously add in your chocolate chips. Mug Cakes aren’t going to taste as good as real cake, but having it loaded it with chocolate chips helps it work in a pinch.
Microwave for 1 minute, stop for a few seconds until cake top falls, then microwave another 30 seconds.
Put more chocolate chips on top, or add some of your freshly made bark, or whatever you like to top your mug cakes with.
Enjoy! They’re very hot when they come out, so be patient and let them cool before eating them.
Note: If you’re looking for a brownie in a mug instead of a cake, skip the baking powder for a denser treat.
