Students and teachers around Capital High answered the question “Should students be able to send in evaluations to the school administration about their teachers?” The results are in! The general consensus for the population of Capital High is yes, and these students had several, well thought-out reasons for their answers:

Bailey Tracy (9th), says “Yes, because it will give teachers helpful criticism so they can stop doing things that will/are making students angry.” Matysen Holmes (12th), stated “Yes, so that students can be personally fit with teachers that will benefit them best.” Maggie Knudsen (10th), said “Yes, to better the teacher if they are acting inappropriately.”

However, some students think that students should not be sending in evaluations on their teachers.

Clayton Webber (11th), disagreed, saying “No, because the district has already evaluated them and made the decision that they are fit to be a teacher.”

So, the general consensus among students seems to be that students should be able to evaluate their teachers and send those evaluations in to the school administration for review.
